The hormone testosterone is often associated with masculine and aggressive nature. But now researchers say that the hormone that is the source of nature-friendly, fair and friendly. This discovery could be a therapy to help those who have the nature of emotional and explosive.
Researchers tried hormone on 121 women participants through a bargaining game. Participants were divided into two groups, one group was given testosterone pills and the other group was given placebo pills.
Dr. Christoph Eisenegger and colleagues from the University of Zurich created a money game where the rules that participants may not use unfair or unjust way in dividing the money and negotiate with partners.
The result, women’s groups who were given testosterone pills proved to be more fair in the game, slightly better in conflict and social interaction. While the group given a placebo pill is the opposite.

It also means that men or women with high testosterone levels can not be attributed to the temperament or aggressive nature,” said Dr. Christoph Eisenegger from the University of Zurich, as quoted from BBC.
The study is published in the journal Nature, and prove that the increased levels of testosterone turned out to actually increase the nature of the fair, friendly, and other good qualities, not the nature of the aggressive and temperamental as people think all these years and are also widely available in the literature.
