The human stomach sometimes prefer certain sounds. Of course this could create embarrassment if the owner’s stomach was in a quiet room. What causes the stomach to make a sound?

Belly rings can be a reminder, but the voice is sometimes hard stomach or slowly can also no reason at all.

This growling sound coming from the stomach and small intestine and may relate to the functions of the digestive tract. Digestive system is basically a long tube that starts from the mouth and ends at the anus. These tubes connect the various organs and other parts associated with the digestive system.

How to encourage the food in the human digestive system is the wave of muscle contractions that move continuously to push it down with a movement called peristalsis. In addition to encouraging food, these contractions also help stir the food and digestive juices that are different so that the sticky mixture called chyme.

As quoted from HowStuffWorks, belly rings are the result of this process encourages the movement of food between solids, liquids chyme and the existence of gas and air. Stomach that reads this can happen at any time not only to the extent when a person feels hungry. But if there is food in the stomach or small intestine, hence the sound produced is a little more calmly and slowly.

Why muscle contraction has occurred even though the stomach is still empty?

The reason is related to the sense of hunger and appetite. After two hours on an empty stomach, the stomach begins to produce more hormones that can stimulate local nerves to send messages to the brain. Furthermore, the brain will respond by giving the signals on the digestive muscles to restart the peristaltic movement.

This is the first peristaltic movement to clean up food scraps which are not digested, then this movement will make a person feel hungry again. This muscle contraction will occur every hour and lasted 10-20 minutes, until the stomach fills with food.

But if the sound produced by the stomach is too excessive, it may be that is one sign that something was wrong in the stomach such as irritable bowel syndrome. In this case the complaint is usually followed by another in the gastrointestinal area.

So a way to control the sound of the stomach is to eat small meals and avoid eating a heavy direct and less foods containing gas so that the sound is not getting bigger.
