Skinny body but have high cholesterol

High cholesterol levels are associated with people who are obese or overweight. But people who have a lean body also has the same likelihood of having high cholesterol.
“Cholesterol is fat that is in the blood rather than fat under the skin. So people who might have a lean body, high cholesterol,” said dr. Dante Saksono H, SpPD, PhD.
Dr. Dante adds that people who are overweight or obese tend to have high cholesterol because of insulin resistance causes fat metabolism changed. But that does not mean that skinny people are unlikely to have high cholesterol.
