Psychologist is able to detect lies through writings

The mouth may lie, but sometimes can not conceal body gesture. Some psychologists succeeded in identifying people who lie only in the style of writing.

For years, psychologists try to solve the mystery of the handwriting characteristics. Handwriting detection would be very helpful in identifying a person’s personality and in some cases may determine whether someone is guilty or not.

Researchers asked participants to write down a thing or a story on paper. Participant is free to write a false story or original stories.

By analyzing the results of the writing, the researcher can know where the students who wrote the original story and where the student who wrote false stories. There are differences in the characteristics of writing an honest person and the person who lied. According to the researchers, writing big and too much pressure on the type of writing paper is a liar.

Studies published in the Journal of Applied Cognitive Psychology, shows that the analysis lies in writing can be an alternative to supplement or replace some other lie-detection methods that already exist.

“This way is easier because it does not need to do a verbal communication or complex technologies such as those found on the polygraph instrument,” said study chairman, Gil Luria as reported Scientificamerican.
