Men should be wary if they are too long driving motorcycle or sitting in car seat. The problem is, your most important thing on your body is being on stake!

Yes, if you are in a work that may cause your reproduction system got overheat for hours or even a day long, like driving motorcycle, be wary to a bad possibility that may happen to your reproduction system.

Prof. Dr. dr. Nukman Moeloek Sp. And. said that overheated scrotal for hours or even a day long could caused male infertility.

“Normal temperature of scrotal is 34 Celcius degree, even a slight increment on temperature, for about 36-38 Celcius degree, and this is happening for hours, it may cause “varicocele” which is the main cause of male infertility,” said the professor of Andrology and Biology in Medical Faculty in University of Indonesia.

Male infertility indeed a serious problem, especially when they have already married. Prof. Dr. Ismail Tambi from Kebangsaan University in Kuala Lumpur, about 15% of married couples have infertility problem, and 30%-50% of them were caused by men who are infertile.

“This problem was caused because men still haven’t being opened about having various health information check-up associated with reproduction problem,” said Prof. Tambi in a seminar session.

“It feels like you want to pee, but you can’t,” said Prof. Tambi.

That problem could be overcome if you got the right treatment and health care information. “You have to get the main cause first if you want to get a right treatment, and the end point is pregnancy,” he also said.

Actually, there are lots of factors how a man could be infertile, such as:
1. Has a history of drug abuse,
2. Has been surgered before,
3. Bad lifestyle (smoking, wrong diet, etc),
4. Genetic,
5. Stress on work,
6. Side effect from other cronical diseases.

Prof. Tambi said that male infertility case were mostly caused by varicocele factor (47.2%), and other idiopathic factor (22.7%).

Generally, those two main factors can be ovecome, but, there is also factor which can’t be overcame, especially if he got a history of barren family too. But if the problem is his bad lifestyle, that can be overcome.

After knowing whether you or your mate barren, what’s next? Immediately make a medical health care check up to doctor. Infertility check-up will be better if it’s done by husband and also wife, but it is better to put the husband in priority.

“Infertility test on male is easier compared to female, because male only has to ejaculate, meanwhile female is more complicated,” said Prof. Nukman.

This sperm test including semen analysis (ejaculate using soap/oil), antibody test, sperm thickness, scrotal form, sperm numbers (usually 15 mill/ml), and scrotal volume. Treatment that can be done such as drugs, surgery, assisted reproduction, natural health care, and artificial insemination.
