Men too hasty in expressing love

If you think that men were more difficult to say ‘I love You’ than women, you’re wrong. Health care researchers say that men are actually faster than women to say that sentence. Differences in psychological and biological factors turned out to be the cause.

Based on the natural health study and the results of a health information survey of 2000 men and women, on average, men say the words ‘I Love You’ to a partner after seven months, while women say after 8-9 months.

Dr Oliver James, a psychologist who took part in the study say that the existence of these results showed that men tend to fall in love faster than women. Women need a little more time to decide whether she was in love or not.

“This is because women experience the process of biological maturation and ripening faster than men. As a result, with increasing age, level of seriousness, considerations and emotions of women will be higher than men. At the age of children and adolescents, the development of a girl child is usually faster than boys of same age. From the biological factors, girls will have a higher body while boys have a shorter body.

According to Dr. Helen Fisher of Rutgers University, feelings of romantic love and thoughts are controlled by the brain which then involves the reproduction factor. “When people fall in love, there is one part of the circuitry in the brain that become active. The hormone dopamine will result in feeling happy, energetic, not sleepy, and focus on the attention of people who are admired or loved, “explained Fisher.

Fisher added that women needed more time to fall in love because they have to make a ‘memory trail’ or trace memory of the man’s behavior. “Women need to remember again what he had done to her and also good or bad behavior,” explained Fisher.

Meanwhile, most men fall in love more quickly because they saw the look she had, without much consideration about the nature or what she had done for him. Men also prefer a woman who needed him. “Men want to feel like a helper,” says Fisher.
