All traditional tea comes from Camellia sinensis plant. Traditional tea is categorized based on how the process and there are 3 types of tea, there are green tea, oolong tea and black tea.

Green tea is a tea which is dried immediately after picking, black tea is a tea which being wilting first after picked, then fermented and dried, oolong tea is oxidized just before drying.

Essentially all of the traditional tea containing amino acids, minerals, antiseptic, anti-cancer, anti-allergy and important antioxidants. Antioxidants in tea may lower bad cholesterol and make blood vessels relax, and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Black tea brewed with hot water at a temperature of 90-95 degrees Celsius for 3 to 5 minutes to achieve a good taste and high antioxidant levels. Oolong tea is brewed with water at a temperature of 90-100 degrees Celsius for 1 to 3 minutes. While green tea at a temperature of 60-80 degrees Celsius for 1 to 2 minutes.

Tea making process should not be too hot because it can burn the tea leaves and causes the tea to be bitter and eliminate anti-oxidants that contained on tea.

To get a better efficacy for the body, tea should be added with honey instead of using sugar to not add any calories to the body.

In addition to traditional tea there is also herbal teas such as Rooibos and honeybush. Rooibos and honeybush contain very little or even not caffeine amount and make this kind of teas good to be consumed by people which are sensitive to caffeine.

Besides these two tea also contains a little tannin levels and contains many minerals like potassium, iron, zinc, and magnesium. Both contain vitamin C levels that are good and there is no side effects to taking these two herbal teas.

Here’s a good time to enjoy the tea:

  1. When getting out of bed: drink black tea and try to mixed it with breakfast.
  2. At mid-afternoon: oolong tea or green tea.
  3. Before going to bed: Rooibos tea or honeybush. Camomile tea could also help your body feel more relax.
  4. If you feel stressed: black tea or Rooibos tea.
  5. For children: mix child’s favorite juice with a cup of herbal tea, Rooibos also can be mixed with orange juice and honeybush with apple juice.
  6. If  got throat sore try to drinking tea with honey as an antiseptic.
  7. For nausea stomach, drinking fresh ginger tea can help.
  8. To adding vitamin C to the body, drinking lemon tea can provide vitamin C for the body.
