Frequent Cramping ?

Almost everyone feels cramps when doing sports, activities, or or at the time of menstruation. Cramps can occur suddenly and unexpectedly. Why ?
At the time of cramping, your body will feel great pain, difficult to move, and the muscles become tense. Reported by essortment, Thursday (9/7/2009) cramps can occur if the body feels too cold, too much activity without stretching, or due to lack of calcium.
Cramp can happen to anyone, even for healthy people too. Cramps are muscle contractions that shorten or set of muscle contractions that cause sudden pain.
Lack of some vitamins can also cause cramps, such as vitamin B1, B5 and B6. Some cramps involved by simultaneous contraction of muscles that normally move to the opposite direction of the body. Cramps can also occur when blood flow to the affected muscle was decreased.
Cramping can also be caused by not drinking enough fluids and make the body dehydrated, wearing tight clothing that inhibits blood flow, wearing the wrong shoes or not using shoes when doing certain activities.
In pregnant women tend to experience cramps during sleep, perhaps because the baby takes the bulk of maternal nutrition, thus leaving little for the mother.
In characteristic, cramping is pain. When you got cramping, usually you must stop any activity and seek help. A very severe cramps may be associated with pain accompanied by swelling, and make your muscle big implicitly, and feel stronger.
Cramps can be prevented by:
- By doing stretching every time you want to do heavy activity, or every night.
- Exercise regularly to help circulation.
- Drink eight glasses of water every day, so no dehydration.
- Simply eating foods which rich in calcium and potassium, like bananas, oranges, potatoes and fresh vegetables.
- Wearing elastic stockings to keep your feet warm.
If you get cramps, then what needs to be done is:
- Soak in warm water bath.
- Leaving the heating on the cramped place.
- If you got cramps on your leg, try to stand and walk.
