Men who have problems in sexual relations generally see a doctor immediately to ask for drugs. However, drug therapy alone was less effective. Now researchers suggest that men with sexual problems combining drug and psychological therapy because it proved more effective.

Sexual disorders in men not only arise because of conditions such as diabetes or heart disease but could also be because of depression. With a healing technique called ‘biopsychosocial approach’, researchers believe male sexual disorders can be more quickly cured.

Technique that combines elements of mental therapy and drug therapy was better known both in overcoming male sexual problems like low libido, arousal difficulty and difficult to reach a climax.

This week in the Deutsches Arzteblatt International, urologists Dirk Rosing and his colleagues presented the results of his thinking about the handling of sexual disorders in men with technical ‘biopsychosocial approach’.

Dirk using male participants who have prostate cancer as their study material. They were given questionnaires to determine differences in the effects of sexual interference with drug therapy alone or in combination with psychological therapy. And the result was more satisfactory with the result of a combination of two therapies.

“The medicine to cope with sexual disorder was sold a lot, but what’s the point if you do not have a mentally healthy to restore sex drive ever disturbed. For that while sexual function rectified by medication, the brain also needs the drug in the form of mental therapy,” said Dirk such reported by ScienceDaily.

Earlier in the year 2004, German researchers have also introduced a sex therapy ‘Syndiastic’ which also focuses on the psychological need of therapy than the use of drugs.

This therapy is aimed more at couples to understand each other sexual disorder that existed at each partner so that they could be happier and understand each other when having sex.
