Information about For a Health

Even if some people considered to be useless, counseling is a very important part in the recovery process of people that have suffered major changes or traumas in their life. On a more scientific level, counseling can be considered as a systematic guidance, a group of people which are offering their experience and their help to the people who need them. People which are specialized in counseling will help their clients, analyze possible solutions to their problems without giving any specified advice. This is because the decision is up to the client and the counselor or the therapist cannot be made responsible for any of the clients’ actions.

There is a serious of problems which will determine people to ask a therapist for guidance. These problems lead to forming self-help groups such as WAR (women against raped) or AA (anonymous alcoholics). All of these actions have made the government provide these groups with special consulting services. One of the major reasons why people turn to therapy is rape or family violence. Rape cases are growing at an alarming rate and consultant services are available at police stations in order to help women immediately. In the case of rape, family and friends support is extremely important for the victim. Domestic violence seems to be a very popular problem which is often a cost by alcohol. Many countries have special agencies which can support victims of family violence and abuse. These support groups are often organized by volunteers, but they receive some financial support from local authorities, and this support allows them to offer some refuge to victims and their children.

Drug abuse has several forms and it is often divided into different categories when dealing with people that consume drugs, we are generally speaking about heroin addicts and people that consume cocaine, ecstasy, amphetamine and other sedatives, tranquilizers, alcohol and tobacco. Consuming drugs can become addictive, but it can also lead to diseases. Drugs are dangerous for the one that consumes them as well as for his or her family, friends and other members of society. For example, when addicts try to get their hands on drugs, they can even turn to theft or murder.
